HISTORY5002 was built by the Porter Locomotive Works of Pittsburgh PA as the third US Army Transportation Corps class S100. Carrying the serial number 7462, this 50 ton beauty was finished in August of 1942. During the war it is believed she served the Philadelphia Navy Yard with several others of her class. In 1948, 5002 would be sold as surplus to EJ Lavino Co and worked there until they dieselized in 1956. She later would work at Tombstone Junction with her sister 5003. This was to be shortlived and the pair was parked. In 2015 she arrived at her new home in Pennsylvania. This would be the first time in nearly 50 years that she returned to her home state
